5	6	7 Training - Pension Fundamentals – day one This is day one of Pension Fundamentals. Attending all three days of the training course will support delegates to gain the knowledge and skills either required in statute or encouraged in relevant guidance. Pension Fundamentals is a bespoke three-day training course predominantly aimed at councillors and others who attend pension committees/panels and local pension boards. It can be attended in-person in London or online. We have listened to feedback and will be delivering each day of the online course over two days. You only need to complete one booking per day and this will automatically book you on both of the half days. Please note, it is not possible to book for a half day. The online course will be delivered using Zoom. View training	8	9 Training - Survivor benefits – England and Wales This workshop is aimed at Administering Authority staff in England and Wales who deal with, or need to learn about Survivor benefits. It is unlikely that scheme employer staff would benefit by attending- It would be useful if attendees had some experience working in the administration of the LGPS. View training
12	13 Training - Additional contributions – England and Wales This half-day course is aimed at administering authority staff in England and Wales. Some experience of administering the LGPS is desirable. View training	14	15 Training - Understanding tax allowances in the LGPS This training is aimed at pension administration staff in England and Wales. Some experience of administering the LGPS is desirable. Scottish LGPS administrators are welcome to attend but should be aware that the exercises and examples that use factors will be demonstrated using English and Welsh factors. The course is based on overriding tax legislation. Scheme employer staff would not benefit from attending. View training	16

You do not need a working knowledge of the LGPS to attend the course; however, some LGPS experience is preferable. It is a one-day workshop that is currently being offered virtually using Microsoft Teams, and in person (London). It is also possible to commission a training course to be delivered at your own premises. For more information on commissioning a course please email [email protected] The training is delivered by an experienced tutor with a maximum of 18 attendees, to allow enough opportunity to engage with the tutor and other attendees. Cost is £270 (plus VAT) per person for online training and £310 (plus VAT) per person for in person training. Attendees will be provided with a detailed set of electronic notes that can be downloaded and saved for future reference.
