The Local Government Pensions Committee (LGPC) is a committee of cross party councillors constituted by the Local Government Association (LGA). It represents local authority interests in relation to the LGPS.
The Committee also oversees the information, guidance and training service provided by the LGA to LGPS administering authorities.

LGPC meeting – 23 Mar 2026
LGPC reviewed and approved the 2026/27 budget, discussed major LGPS regulatory changes, Fit for the Future reforms, councillor pension access, dashboards, training updates, and SAB workstreams.

LGPC considered the Access and Protection consultation, supporting councillor LGPS access and New Fair Deal reforms, discussed governance and regulatory changes, dashboards, AVC concerns, and training developments.
