Subject: LGPS (Amendment) (No2) Regs 2006 & Extra LGPS
Seminar: 30 August
Dear Pension Manager
LGPS (Amendment) (No 2) Regulations 2006 cover letter
from Terry Crossley and LGPS Pensions Seminar: 30 August
I am writing for two reasons. The first regards a small correction to
the text in Terrry Crossley's letter of 27 July regarding the above regulations
and the second point alerts you to an additional LGPS Workshop/Seminar planned
for 30 August.
LGPS (Amendment) (No2) Regulations 2006: cover letter from Terry
Crossley dated 27 July 2006
Please note that there is a small error contained in point 3 (1st
paragraph) under the sub-heading of New protections for existing scheme
members [Regulations 8,13,14 and 16-17]. Instead
of '... (that portion accruing after 1 October 2008' it
should read '... that (portion accruing after 1 April 2008)'.
The SI is correct.
LGPS Pensions Seminar: 30 August
I am pleased to inform you that owing to the success of earlier workshops -
held this month, we have decided to run an additional workshop. It will
take place on Wednesday, 30 August from 9.30-1.00 pm
(with coffee being served from 9.15 am) at the offices of DCLG, Eland House,
Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DU (nearest Tube & Mainline rail:
Victoria).
I should be grateful if you would please draw this invitation to anyone who
would be interested in attending and ask that they book a place through either
Nicola Rochester (
[email protected])
or Diana Abelson (
[email protected]).
As before, places are on a first come, first served
basis.
Many thanks.
