How to use this site
This site contains two indexes of appeal determinations issued by the Secretary of State. Please follow the hyperlinks above to obtain the relevant index of appeals.
Index A contains a brief description of recent appeal determinations issued by the Secretary of State with hyperlinks to the full version of the determination. The full versions are provided in the format supplied by the Local Government and Firefighters' Pensions Division of the DCLG. The LGPC accepts no responsibility for any error or omission. It would be helpful, however, if any suspected omission (e.g. if there is a missing annex to a determination) could be reported to the LGPC Secretariat for further investigation (e-mail [email protected]).
Index B contains a brief description of archived appeal determinations (i.e. where the full appeal determination is not available online). Appeals in Index B fall into three categories:
i) appeals with a number prefixed by LGSS. A summary of each such appeal can be found in the old UKSC Bulletins which were issued to LGPS Administering Authorities;
ii) appeals with a number prefixed by LGP. A summary of each such appeal can be found in the two Appeal Bulletins issued to LGPS Administering Authorities in November 1997 and August 1998; and
iii) appeals with a number and no prefix. A brief summary of each such appeal can be found in Index B.
If users of the site do not have access to the Bulletins mentioned in (i) and / or (ii) above or wish to receive further details in relation to items in (iii) above, the LGPC Secretariat can supply the relevant information. Please e-mail [email protected] quoting the appeal number (including prefix) and provide the name and address to which the information should be sent. Depending on the volume of requests for further information, the LGPC reserves the right to make a charge to users of this copy service.
